1. Ask them to tell you a story 
Many seniors are widowed or living alone and just having someone to talk to can mean the world to them . This is an opportunity to allow them to reminiscence. It is good for their memory. And I guarantee that you will learn a thing or two.

2. Make them a homemade gift.
There is something about that handmade item, that gives that a Grandparent a reason to brag. “My granddaughter made that. She’s very bright.” They love to speak about their kids and grand-kids.

3. Tell them you love them.
Time is short and you will never regret saying the words, “I love you” too much to your loved ones. They need to hear it and you need to say it.

4. Frame a family picture.
A family photograph is a terrific way to bring memories back into focus. Put it in a nice frame for an extra special touch.

5. Give them a blanket.
Since we seem to have lost our Spring this year, a warm blanket can be the perfect cozy gift to those who tend to be chilly all the time now days.
