About Our Company
Friends of the Family was founded in August of 2006 by a gentleman, whose own grandmother had been abused in a nursing facility.
With a focus on high-quality care provided in the comfort of one’s own home, Friends of the Family rapidly grew to include a number of services in great demand.
We are locally owned and operated; the company is licensed, bonded and insured to provide worry-free care.
How It Works
Our services begins with you giving us a call. We are waiting to answer any questions that you may have.
The next step is a FREE in-home or in-facility assessment to determine a care plan. After a care plan has been determined, our staff of highly trained and carefully selected health care professionals will begin providing care for your loved one.

Rebekah LaFontaine
Owner
Rebekah has her degree in Business Administration and worked at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She is a pastor’s wife and a proven advocate for the senior community, as well as anyone who needs a helping hand.
She took over ownership, management and operations of Friends of the Family in 2012. Her passion to help others has made the company what it is today.
Jack & Erika Duff
Florida Directors
Jack and Erika Duff serve as the Directors of our Florida office. Jack serves as Pastor of a local church in South Florida. Jack has an MBA in business and has used his skills to manage multiple projects and teams. Erika has served as an administrator and teacher in a local private school. She also volunteers her time to work with both the elderly and students. Their 17 years of frontline ministry has afforded them the opportunity to serve many families at different stages of life.
Jennifer Cranford
Director of Operations
Jennifer Cranford, MA, started as a part time office assistant, moved to scheduler, then to HR Manager. Her promotion to the position of Director came quite naturally.
She leads by example with her work ethic and encourages employees to excel in the gifts, they already possess.
She has her degree in Medical Administration and handles all Payroll, as well as billing for Friends of the Family.
Sheri LaFontaine
Marketing/Intake Manager
Sheri LaFontaine is known for reaching the heart of any audience. She truly loves people, which makes her a perfect fit in the world of networking and marketing. She has a strong background in retail sales management and has worked in promotion in Nashville, as well as the Toledo market.
She is often the first person you will make contact with, when reaching out to Friends of the Family.
Bianca Schaub
HR Manager
Bianca Schaub, is a CNA and has worked as an in-home caregiver, as well as in nursing homes. Formerly the Scheduler at Friends of the Family, Bianca moved to HR after a recognized connection between the caregivers and herself. She truly cares for their wellbeing and seeks for true character when hiring. She is a delight.

Caregiver Screening
Putting your concerns to rest, Friends of the Family requires that all applicants go through federal and state testing. Background checks and drug testing are taken very seriously.
We Guarantee Our Shifts
Caregivers need to take sick days too but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We will send another caregiver to fill that shift, making sure someone is there…even if it means sending the CEO.
1 Hour to 24 Hour Home Care
Taking a shower does not take 3 hours, so why pay for 3? Setting us apart from most Home Health companies, We provide as low as 1-hour shifts.
On Call 24-7
The office may be closed, but our Management is on call all night for your urgent needs.
